"Last night John Moses took video from a village meeting. Today we took some still shots. All is well here. I am trying to observe and learn, and hold my comments until later. The needs in India are beyond belief. Yet the needs in the church here are manageable. I am spending time with John Babu, talking of Bible School curriculum which he can translate and use for training, and for pastors' message resources. Tonight, I taught the kids "Jesus Loves Me" and John 14:6 in English. We will be working on some other songs also. The situation in Hyderabad is unchanged, so I probably will only see the airport. Village life here is still very traditional and is probably a better lesson in Indian culture for me than in the city. Last night in a small village, we used a public address system to reach about 40 people in front of me including several Hindus, but also blasted the message into numerous homes of Hindus. They may not have listened, but they certainly heard. In several minutes we will go to a neighboring village for a public meeting. Tomorrow is market day, and Sunday I am scheduled for back-to-back church services in 2 different locations. Monday is the pastors' conference. I am acclimating to Indian cuisine, but am having trouble getting used to Indian lack of timeliness. Today, I walked in the village alone, attracting stares, but no negativity." Below is an excerpt from the Email I received this Morning from John Moses as well as the pictures from the evangelistic meetings Jim has been leading. Please find photographs of Brother Jim Roth's 2nd day Gospel Crusade in India at Muppavaram villege.
