Verse 64 tells us that Jesus knew from the beginning who would betray Him. Knowing full well that one day soon Judas would betray Him to the men who would kill Him, Jesus still chose Judas and treated him as one of His loved ones. He even allowed him to be given the task of caring for the money for the group. This tells us how little Jesus thought or cared about their financial situation. And Jesus did not spend His days trying to convince Judas not to do this. The other disciples never knew that it would be Judas, even on that night. Jesus told us here that no one can come to Him unless it is granted to him from the Father.  We need to realize that men would never come to Jesus on their own. We are all totally blinded by our sin, and unable to understand our desparate sitiation. But praise be to the Father who has chosen us in Christ and given us faith to believe in Him. We need to constantly praise Him for this fact, and constantly pray for those around us, that God would save them.  How does He give them this faith? Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. That's where we come in!
