"Who are you?"  That is the question that the Pharisees asked Jesus after He told them that they would die in their sins unless they believed in Him.  The very fact that they said this revealed that they did not believe in Him. In fact His answer to their question was another question. "What have I been saying to you from the beginning?" There was never any variance in what Jesus had said from the beginning. He made it clear every time He spoke that He was presenting Himself as the Son of God. Yet still today the lie of the Devil presists that 'Jesus was just a good man, a prophet, a messenger. He had good things to say, and was loving to everyone'. We show by our lives that we have bought in to this lie. We do not really follow Him as God or obey His commands when it means sacrifice. We see His teachings as suggestions instead of concrete truth. We see Him as a god of convenience. But Jesus has no interest in being a god of convenience. He is not here for us. He came to do the will of the Father. The Christian life is not about God doing for us, it is about being able to have anything to do with Him. It is only by His grace and mercy that we have the honor and blessing of being able to be obedient servants of the Most High God!
